The Global Savages arrive on Terschelling Island in the North Sea!
A few days ago, The Global Savages arrived by ferry on the Terschelling Island, off the coast of the Netherlands at the North Sea. For several days, the storytellers will travel the Island and meet the people and communities, to become more familiar with the way of life of the on this unique and beautiful Island. There is also site preparation underway, as the storytellers work with Dutch artist/director Lotte Van Den Berg who is familiar with the Island and the festival.
With the assistance of our fearless and oh so connected festival liaison, translator, coordinator and friend Riet Mellink, our experience has already been extraordinarily rich and rewarding. We look forward to sharing our stories and reflecting our appreciation back on the people of the Island and the visitors to the festival.
